At Don Carlos, the fine dining restaurant at Grand Hotel et de Milan, the spirit of La Scala extends from the stage to the table. Named in tribute to Maestro Giuseppe Verdi, who made the hotel his home for 27 years, the intimate restaurant is steeped in Milanese history, with walls adorned with portraits, sketches and scenes from La Scala’s museum, accompanied by a soundtrack of operatic arias.
The menu celebrates traditional Milanese cuisine through the lens of the seasons, with the chef adding his own interpretation to classic dishes and allowing the finest fresh market produce to take centre stage.
This autumn, the new menu captures the flavours of the season, bringing together the culinary heritage of Milan with the artistry and elegance of its great opera house.
