A playful side to your Verona escape

Held across Verona’s historic centre, Tocatì brings traditional games from Italy and around the world to the city’s squares and streets, transforming them into lively open-air spaces. Taking place in September, it offers a more local perspective on Verona, bringing together games, music, food, craftsmanship and living heritage against the backdrop of the city’s historic streets.

Verona like a local

For guests at Due Torri Hotel, the festival is an opportunity to experience Verona beyond its celebrated landmarks and connect with the traditions and communities that continue to shape the city today. Tocatì is also recognised by UNESCO’s Register of Good Safeguarding Practices for Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The 2026 edition welcomes Ireland as Guest of Honour, bringing Irish and Italian traditions together through hurling, Gaelic football, camogie, music, dance and craftsmanship. Uilleann pipes and Celtic harp will feature alongside the festival’s programme of traditional games, creating a fascinating cultural exchange between the two countries.

The name Tocatì comes from the Italian expression “tocca a te”, meaning “it’s your turn”. True to its name, the festival invites everyone to join in, discover centuries-old games and become part of Verona’s living culture.
